You know that list we secretly all keep of celebrities that are also true petrol heads? It's a short list. Dempsey, Tim Allen, Newman, Seinfeld, McQueen, Leno, etc... Well, get ready to add Adam Carolla to that list. OK stop laughing. Believe it or not, the guy from "Love Lines" & "The Man Show" would prefer to talk about things like adjustable sway bars and oil temperatures these days.
He was at Lime Rock Park recently to shoot a segment for his upcoming documentary on Paul Newman, but more on that in a minute. Between shooting and pouring over Newman's race cars, we convinced him to take Lime Rock's very own 414bhp 'letric orange "Lime Rock Park Edition" BMW M3 Coupe

out for a spin. So after wrapping with the documentary crew we all hustled to the autocross track and broke out our cameras.

Adam had to meet with Bob Sharp then catch a plane back to Hollywood that afternoon, but he had just enough time to wring out a few very fast laps in the M3. That car sounds epic by the way. I don't know if all M3's sound like this but ohmygod it's a hot metal symphony. It's also the last V8 M3 and in the right hands, a very fast car. And Adam's hand and feet are fast, we can confirm. Properly fast. His time was within mere tenths of the ringers on staff who also seized the opportunity to burn up some octane. Adam is a total pro and super nice guy to boot.

Want even more proof Adam belongs on that list of Hollywood car guys? He recently won the Long Beach Celebrity Grand Prix. In the fucking pro division . And he races vintage Datsun's regularly. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! And he loves monster Trans Am beasts from a time before paddle shifting was even a thing. Cars driven by Paul Newman himself. And he's collecting them. And he's making a documentary about them. And he's racing them. That's passion bordering on obsession. So now that you know the self proclaimed expert on both love and manly things loves manly cars, just go ahead and add him to that list.

I find it hard to believe that if you're aware of those other celeb motor heads that you aren't aware of Corolla's passion for cars or his own personal car collection. The man is legit when it comes to autos.
